
Dr. Tim Donahue is one of Hopson Global Education and Training's most valued advisers. He is currently writing proposals to help us gain contracts for serving Native Americans. He is presenting our course, "Work/Life/Leadership: Empowering Self and Others" to decision-makers in the Bureau of Indians Affairs (BIA) and the Department of Interior. His broad educational background in business, marketing, and strategic planning has proven helpful in many decisions by Hopson Global Education and Training.

Executive Director Named
The board of the Preserve South Dakota hired Timothy Donahue as its Executive Director in January 2004. Dr. Donahue's background has been in training and strategic marketing and business development. He brings a combination of academic and practical business experience to Preserve South Dakota. Dr. Donahue has owned and operated his own small businesses and knows first hand the difference between educational and hands on business experience.
He has received 5 district, 3 regional and 1 national award for outstanding consulting from the Small Business Administration. In addition, the Independent Business Association of Minnesota awarded him the Small Business Champion for 1983. As the Former State Director for the Minnesota Small Business Development Centers (SBDC), he has worked with the profit and non-profit sectors providing consulting, training, and research in the areas of strategic management, marketing, customer service, sales training, human relations, and business development.
As an educator, he taught a variety of business courses (23 years) at the graduate and undergraduate level. His training courses are practical. He blends real world applications with solid academic principles to make sure participants are equipped with the tools necessary to compete in business. He has a BA & MBA from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN., and a doctorate from the University of South Dakota in Adult Learning Styles and corporate training. Dr. Donahue is excited about the potential for Preserve South Dakota. Not only can Preserve South Dakota continue to provide excellent preservation advice and low interest loans, but can work with individuals, businesses, communities, or reservations to preserve, package, market, consult for business plans or grants and manage a project for a historic organization.
